At Nedlands Primary School, our motto is Semper Altius (Always Higher), which demonstrates our lasting committment to striving for excellence and never succumbing to complacency; an attitude we encourage in every student that passes through our doors.
Nedlands Primary School is an Independent Public School with a rich, 100-year history that boasts alumni ranging from Olympic athletes to previous WA State Premier Colin Barnett. The school provides education to students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
Though Nedlands is a school proud of its history, it is also one embracing the future with some of the best facilities of any public primary school in the state, such as early childhood facilities, a 25 metre swimming pool, air-conditioned classrooms, computer network, basketball and netball court and an extensive playground.
Despite these modern conveniences, the most important part of Nedlands Primary is, of course, the students. Each child at Nedlands is encouraged to reach their potential wherever it may lie, whether it be in arts, athletics or academia, by a team of highly qualified and enthusiastic teachers and support staff dedicated to doing what is best for each child.
In order to create a secure and supportive environment, Nedlands works closely with parents and community members in order to ensure each and every student is performing at their best. The close links with the Nedlands community creates an atmosphere of trust and support that separates Nedlands from many other schools.
Nedlands Primary School proudly celebrates over 100 years of educating young people of all cultural backgrounds.
The school Board supports the strategic directions of the school whilst being supported by an active Parents and Citizens Association and in collaboration with experienced staff. This partnership between students, staff, families and community ensures that at Nedlands Primary School you can "Experience the Opportunities".
